lol, your cat looks so unimpressed xD love your mini though!
I dont have any recent pictures right now but these are from last year's winter woolies. I actually have Sour's beard shaved right now as it was tangling in her bridle and pinching. Ouch!
Sour, four year old (was 3 in pictures) mare. SOFLUFFAY
and because she swore that her winter woolies werent enough...xD
Poseidon- the wonderful world of TEXAAAAAAS. > That picture was in late January. It was 68 degrees that day, I believe. Maybe even 70.
Today it is 74. There is no such thing as 'cold' here xD the ponies don't understand that though! We often have to shave them before March to keep them from dying of heat exhaustion.
Heres a beard for you, need more photos though as it has grown now he has got his winter coat not just foal fuzz, I would post my guys in winter woolies but ten shetlands and a fell cross would take over the thread as the shetlands are the woolest of most breeds as they get a double coat.
Here are my two woolie mini's. I expect them to get fluffier as the weather gets colder! They are predicting a colder and snowier winter than normal in MD.
I hope my pictures are attached. I usually just enjoy looking at everyone elses
Been so busy, it's been forever almost since I posted on here...let me see if I can remember how to, LOL! I do have some winter-woolies to share.
This is just three of my six....
Thanks Endiku!
We have had a very busy season making visits to Nursing Homes and other facilities. I have also started a Children's Program here at the ranch as well this year.
So just have not had much spare time for myself. Now that we are into Winter and things are slow, you will probably see me around more often, LOL!
I was thinking of sharing some Visit photos, you think I should do that here or a different section of the forum?
I think before I did that in the Horse Talk section...
Please do! I loved the last pictures that you posted. I think it would be fine in either section, but it will probably get more notice in Horse Talk.
Our miniature community on HF is growing though, we're seeing more and more ponies and minis and their owners every week. Even my little 'herd' has grown to two, as my mare just had her first (and only, it was an unexpected pregnancy that I wasn't too pleased about) foal in September, a miniature mule named Honor!

Okay, thanks Endiku. Keep a look out in the Horse Talk section in the next few days....
It's good to hear there are more Mini/Pony folks around again. Seemed like things really seriously died off for awhile. 'Course I can't talk, I was absent myself all Summer, LOL!
Congratulations on your foal! I knew she was expecting, but of course never new what she'd had, that's great! I'll have to go look for Pics.
@ littlespiritedcopperspots: you minis are so colorful! I run a petting zoo every summer and my mini is the main attraction, one day when she's at her fittest I would love to breed her to keep the foal, it would kill at the petting zoo and have always dreamed of breeding her to a paint or leopard mini to get a bit of color >
Lol, so I'll get some pics posted when I am not on my iPad!
Hi SunnyMeadeFarm!
Thanks, I love my little herd too! I also have a little jet black Stallion, a Bay with black points, and a Sorrel with socks and a big wide blaze...
I always joke with my Hubby that I want one of every color, but of course THAT's not practical, LOL!
Looking forward to seeing pics of your girlie.
Everybody has some great fuzziness!
I am going to post my mini mares photos (though I am a little embarrassed as she has been fat this fall) she gets about 3-4 inches by December, since we are in the north and get very cold!

I couldn't wait to post mine, I went out with my DSLR and got some pictures of my anti-photogenic mini, who could care less while my pony who aspires to be the very first actual horse photographer kept trying to bite the camera and get in my way. so I posted some of his fuzzies too, because he would want me to.
I know she is overweight right now.
because I had to:
What a cutie! That's a neat blue bridle, Mini's always look adorable in their little tack don't they? I love seeing my Echo in her little Driving Bridle XD
I got some fuzzy pics! It was warm the other day(not any more :?) so I took every ones blankets off. My old guy gets an insanely thick winter coat, but he hasn't dropped weight this winter, he's actually gained (at 42 years old, this is a huge victory!) So here he is My old man, Blue.
I just realized this was in the mini section Clearly mine are not minis lol, I just saw winter woolies on the main page without bothering to check what sub-thread it was in
This is one of three miniature horses I own... Swagger's coat mimics that of a bison... It's amusing, but I feel so bad for him in the spring when he hasn't completely shed out. He's got a good 4" coat on him :P
