    Anime Nerds!

I only recently got back into anime. I used to watch Pokemon and Sailor Moon when I was little, but I stopped watching anime period until about a year ago when I picked up Sword Art Online in a whim. Now, it's grown on me .

Anyways, my favorite anime is Fairy Tail. I tend towards lots of action and flashy fight scenes, and I really like how fun and light-hearted Fairy Tail is.

Anyone else watch anime? What shows or movies are you interested in?

DD's have done anime conventions for 15 years, so yeah, I live with this.
They like to recommend funny and lighthearted shows like, "Haunted Junction," "Tenchi Muyo", "The Slayers", "Trouble Chocolate", "Irresponsible Captain Tyler", older shows, but classics.

I haven't watched anything pre-2000s since I've started up again. I'm trying to go back and watch some older shows too, but there are so many good ones in total that I'm having trouble choosing which to watch first.

Watch Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood - very exciting! I was watching the final (climatic) episodes when I had to go and teach, and I was shaking the whole afternoon just dying to get home to watch.

But I do get very into it, lol. One of my favourite anime is Wolf's Rain. Very good animation; its also short and easy to get into.

My other favourites are Naruto, Evangelion, Full Metal Alchemist (the original) and Dragon Ball Z

OK! Though, I remember Dragon Ball Z...can't say I ever cared for it. Naruto and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood look interesting. My brother has been suggesting his favorites, and so I'm pretty swamped when it comes to shows that I'm watching.

Not typically really into anime but once in a while a good one comes along and I'm all in for it!

Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood are both exceptionally good. Really, that was the first anime I watched since I was a kiddo and I found it to be really good. Attack on Titan is very mature but interesting plot and world building wise. I don't think it's a phenomenal anime but hey if the story keeps me hooked than there's probably something going for it! Another mature one that's more slapstick comedy than anything else is Abenobashi. Not great by any stretch of the imagination but is pretty entertaining during a late night comedy run!

Of course as a kid I watched Tenchi Muyo, DBZ, Gundam Wing, Pokemon, etc. Corporal the Slayers is one that I've been dying to rewatch haha good memories of my childhood!

I missed Comic Con and A-Kon this year. I didn't have the money to go. However, I plan to go to at least one of them next year.

I love SAO! Who's excited for the next season?

You should watch Cowboy Bebop if you haven't already. It's become a classic (I used to watch it pretty religiously on cartoon network back in the day). I don't like long running shows and I don't really watch too much anime anymore so I can't personally really recommend you anything that's particularly popular because I dropped them all ages ago (naruto and bleach to name a couple).

I think the most recent show I watched was Noragami (a show about a boy-god who fights supernatural beings) which is only 12-13 episodes long. I liked it.

I've heard highly of Cowboy Bebop. I'm not big into science fiction for the most part (more into fantasy and supernatural), and once I'm done with the ones that I'm watching right now, I'll probably try Naruto first, but I have Cowboy Bebop on my list. I like long-running shows for the most part, because I like a continuous story.
