I'm am going to start voting next week. I wanted it to be Joshua and skylar at the finish. Now just joshua, I am getting tired of Jessika.

And just so you know my friend Peggy voted for Holly for a full 40 min. She averaged 6 seconds per vote. She called me laughing, I think she did it just to P me off. That Girl!!

I do like Phillip (like I said, I like most of the contestants) and I agree that he makes some good song choices, especially for his style. I have to disagree about his soundbites though. His extremely dry and sarcastic humor hits home with me. I love to listen to him talk about the other contestants. lol
I agree, I wish there had been a save for Colton too.

As for Phillip, I'm fairly well known amongst my friends for some real dry zingers, and appreciate his sarcasm more than most. But I also know that it doesn't always translate well via media to those who don't get it.
Back when David Cook was on Idol, I was a fan. He was unique too, but he also presented himself well and was articulate.

Something I think some of the contestants donít think about is how to reach a broader audience. From the grandmas to the tweens, as well as everyone in between, because these are the people who vote.
David Cook did that well. His song choices and arrangements may not have appealed to everyone, but singing aside he had a broad appeal that most could relate to. I wish Phillip had more of that articulation, however I am a fan and have been from the start. I just donít know if the soundbites he gets are reaching out to the whole audience, whose votes he will need to win.

I think that is why Skyler went home too early. She was very appealing to a certain audience, that had nothing to do with being a country singer per say, but there wasnít that broad appeal beyond that audience.

Being the best singer isnít always what wins, unfortunately.

I liked David Cook and he was from the Show Me state, ( I always thought that was a dumb nick-name for a state, oh well).

Woo Hoo! Phillip Phillips!
Poor kid, hope he gets well. Such an amazing career ahead of him!

You can get a lot further with a ladder than you can with crutches!!
What do you mean what do I mean?
