Any Firefly Fans?

Just curious... Any Firefly fans out there? I'm almost finished with the series (no spoilers, please) and then I plan on watching Serenity. It's really too bad it got cancelled so early ... Such a great show...

Have the DVD of the series. Love it
Had serenity. Lost it somewhere. I know its in this house somewhere.
But.....Saw it in Walmart, in the $5 bin. I grabbed it fast and headed to check out.
Seen it several times, but can never get enough.

Since you are almost done with the series...
I loved "The Train Job", when Mal says "Oh darn" to the bad guy then kicks him.

When you get done watching the series, if you need something else to watch check out the show Castle! Nathan Fillion stars in it, and makes hidden references to Firefly every now and again. LOL

I'm a huge fan and was quite upset when they cancelled it. :(

Great show. I'm a fan of pretty much any Joss Whedon show - he always seems to have strong female characters and a good dose of sarcasm.

My wife and I loved Firefly! We tore through it on Netflix. Every once in a while one of us will randomly sing to the other "You can't take the sky from me...". It's really a shame that they cancelled it, but I'm glad they were at least able to make a feature film that tied some of the loose ends together.

LOL! Nice to see my wife and I are not the only ones who randomly sing the theme song

It's awesome there is still such a strong fan base :) There was some amazing writing. Wash and River had some of my favorite quotes... Oh, and Jayne. Can't forget him. Every character really did have amazing lines.

"I don't mean to alarm anyone, but I think we're being followed." Wash said in his calmest voice

I can't remember what episode that's from, but they were getting chased. Hilarious.

"Also, I can kill you with my brain." River says to Jayne.

Summer Glau did an amazing job playing River (and I don't say amazing that often). I think she's probably my favorite character...

Mal- I would do this job for free!

Zoe- Can I have your share?

Mal- No.

Zoe- If you die can I have your share?

Mal- Yes.

From the train heist episode.

Adam, that clip is GREAT!! Lol

I love Firefly/Serenity! I didn't have TV growing up, so I came late to a lot of the great series. I was house sitting for some friends a few years back and they had a 52" LCD TV with Netflix and a whole library of DVDs (both movies and shows). I had all day to watch TV (was in school, but was taking all online classes) because someone had to be there with their dogs all the time, so I stumbled upon Firefly and decided to check it out. INSTANT ADDICTION!!! Then I found out about Serenity and bought it at the first opportunity. LOVE that movie and am soooo sad the show was cancelled.

I think my favorite character (other than Mal, of course) was Jayne. He was just so...big, dumb jock. Lol
