Anyone remember Carman? Sad news.

Is anyone here familiar with the Christian singer/songwriter/actor Carman? He reached his peak in the 1990s, and was hugely popular, and often performed in free concerts that were filled to capacity.

I saw him several times in concert- once at a venue in Chicago (while on vacation) where they were even turning people away because there was no more room. I've also met him (very briefly) a few times for pictures and autographs. I really haven't kept up with him in many years, or even thought much about him...until recently.

For some reason he was on my mind not long ago and I decided to look him up and see what he's been up to these last several years (heck, I didn't even know he got married- and that happened in 2004, lol!)

If anyone here is or ever was a fan of Carman, or even if you just like him at all, he is welcoming any encouraging prayers and comments on his FB page.

My dad and uncle were really good friends with him like 30 years ago! My uncle actually used to travel with him. They were very sad to hear this :(

Oh gosh, I have quite a few of his Cd's!
