Big Brother Canada

Anyone else excited to see how bad this turns out to be? Seems that anytime Canada tries to copy an American show our version turns out to be cheesy as heck lol.

(yes I know that BB started in the UK, not the US)

What is "Big Brother?"

Ha! As one who watched the first ever BB series in the UK, then dropped off watching as each series got weirder and weirder.....

I have this to say:

People in Canada are way to nice to make entertaining television in a BB house!


Tinyliny, it's a 'fly on the wall' reality show thing. 20ish people get locked up in a house where there are 24/7 cameras on them. They have nothing to do except talk to each other, eat and drink. The television producers give them 'tasks' to do that quite often result in one or all looking stupid in some way. They are generally given too much alcohol for their own good. Each week they have a secret vote in which they nominate one member of the house to be chucked out. Then the TV audience vote out who goes. At the end of the 20 weeks the last housemate in there wins some money and an extremely short lived amount of fame.

It's a bit like Lord of the Flies with self-publicising narcissists instead of children.
