Book recommendations

I'm looking for a really good romance type of book. I like mysterys as well if someone has a suggestion.

I did read the jacket on the Shades of Grey books and they don't interest me. I'm not into "erotic" type stuff and generally skip over the sex scenes anyway.

Any suggestions would be awesome!

I really suggest the Trylle Series by Amanda Hocking, its a fantasy but it has a romance twist in it. I read the 3 books in 2 days I got so hooked.

Horses are my life, if theyre wasnt such a thing life would suck!

I will look into it. Thanks! I have read fantasys before and enjoyed them so it's definitely worth a try. I've bought 6 or 8 books over the last couple weeks and they have all turned out to be just... blah... I'm desperate for a good book!

Let me tell you those books are amazing you have to give the first half of the first book a chance and don't read reviews on it because there spoilers it ruined the first book for me!!!

Have you read any of the Nicholas Sparks books? From what I've heard, he writes good, sappy romances. I'm not really into that.

Sarah Dessen also writes some good romance books but that is more aimed towards the young adults.

Nicholas Sparks upsets me! His books are so well written that they just plain disgust me! The accident seen in the horse whisperer and then the death scene in the end, there was another book I read of his, fire something where a girl burns to death. The man can write but his books bother me!

Something Borrowed, by Emily Giffin is one of my favorite books, and the sequel Something Blue is even better. Not super sappy, but definitely chick books! :)

I'll check them all out. I just read a couple dime store romances that I got from Harlequin about a couple park rangers in Yosemite. They were only a couple hundred pages so they didn't last long but they kept my attention. I really like mysteries...

But I like the littel bit of romance thrown in. I can do with or without the sex scenes. If they are at all "erotic" then I usually skip over them anyway...

Sharon Sala, Diana Palmer, Linda Lael Miller and Catherine Anderson are my favorite romance novelists. They lean towards a more horsey/western theme or historical romance which I absolutely adore!

Sharon Sala "Chance McCall" is my ultimate favorite book, ever! I've read it like, 100 times. And "Second Chances" is a close second.

I agree about Nicholas Sparks. He can write really well, But OMG is he descriptive and his books make me cry. Not just cry, but like bawl for an hour cry. It's horrid. :(
