Breaking Dawn 2 vs. Interview with a Vampire

Can we throw in From Dusk til Dawn? Although it was an unusal vampire movie those vamps scared the crap out of me.

Interview with a Vampire, Loved it. Loved it from the moment I first saw it.

Twlight series, Ugh, give me a break. SO glad that's over. Since when is it okay for any woman ( or girl in this case ) to be with some control freak?

Ive read several ann rice vampire series novels, they get real repetitive. Each one had different name, but pretty much similar story, sorta like alot of Edger Rice Burroughs stuff. Create a formula tell a story, then just change names and locations but keep the same story.

I'm not a huge vampire fan, I read Interview With a Vampire and loved the way it was written, but it's not as much my 'type' of book. I also read Twilight and just... ugh. Beyond the fact that the content is really awful, I despise the messages it sends, especially targeted to young, vulnerable girls.

One of my really good friends is 43 and LOVES Twilight. As in, obsessed with Edward Cullen. I'm going to a Twilight marathon at her house on Sunday because it'll be the first time I've gotten to hang out with her and some other friends in quite a while.

I will admit there's some serious eye candy in the (later) Twilight movies...which is their only redeeming quality.

Colin Ferrell as Jerry Dandridge was a godawful ABOMINATION.

That being said, I'm a total horror NERD and I *will not* watch or read that Twilight Drivel. Stephen King, nuts as he is, wrote about it, and I read the Wiki....that is more than enough to tell me to avoid it. If I ever feel the need to read or watch I'll download it.

That being said, the BOOK Interview with the Vampire was FAR FAR Superior to the movie. The movies kind of um...they're kind of like cheap candy. You know, the kind you hope will whet your sweet tooth but it tastes like chemical and leaves a weird taste in your mouth? But if you completely pretend the books didn't exist, it's aight. I bought the Blu Ray. ;)

The original Fright Night was campy as heck, but I do have to agree that Chris Sarandon was the best Jerry Dandridge. The new one had better special effects, and I teally liked David Tennant as Peter Vincent, but the original is the best.

I still like Colin Farrell in the update. Don't understand why some people hate him so much. He's not hard to look at, and is a decent enough actor.

I'll take Colin Farrell over Tom Cruise, ANYDAY.
I'm SO mad they chose that short little dweeb to play Jack Reacher.

No comparison! I did go to every midnight premier of the Twilight series but I'd much rather watch Interview with a Vampire.. LOVE Anne Rice!
