I thought you wanted to talk about
country music ... that all looks like country
radio music, which isn't the same thing as real country music and hasn't been for a long time.
Those Nashville record executives hate real country music. The fact that Alan Jackson can put out one of the best albums of his career and get no play from it is absolutely embarrassing. They're only interested in turning country music into minivan soccer-mommy soft-pop crud. I think Willie Nelson's advice to Nashville music executives in "Write our Own Song" applies pretty well.
You might want to check out
KFWR in Fort Worth, the Texas Music Chart,
Music City Roots on Wednesday night, Heartland Public Radio's HPR3 feed, the Texas Best feed on GotRadio ... yeah, that's enough to get y'all started towards
real country music.
(And before some of y'all come back and say "I've never heard of those bands those stations are playing" ... yeah,
that's the problem. To quote a good friend of mine, "Get you a dose.")
