forgotten melodies

I was goofing off and found this old song. It used to be my all time favorite song in the world...

Anyone else have forgotten songs?

"Be a best friend, tell the truth, and overuse I love you
Go to work, do your best, don't outsmart your common sense
Never let your prayin knees get lazy
And love like crazy"

OMG!! I have not heard that song since I was a little girl. I used to love it (and still do). That is the kind of music that I grew up on.

My Dad used to sing this one when I was a little girl. I never knew that someone actually recorded it...

Here is a ballad but I grew up on military bases and this one is another that I love. Brings back so many memories...

:,,) Feed Jake always made me cry...still does.

I know lots of songs that I can't seem to find anywhere.

There is one set to the tune of the Tennessee Waltz. I remember some of the words..............

"I was dancin' with my darlin'
To the Tennessee waltz
At the annual fireman's ball.
All the people, they were starin'
Because my gal was wearing
A newspaper dress and that was all."

And it continues on that somehow it catches on fire and it is just really funny. I will have to ask Dad to write down all the words.
