I totally agree. I liked the movie, but mostly only because it was Harry Potter and I was a giddy 6th grader again. I was surprised they focused so much on Harry and Ginny and HermionexRon relationships rather than the horcruxes and such. When they go to find the first "horcrux" in the book, it was such a huge epic scene in my head. In the movie, it seemed like they just kind of threw it on in the end. |
I did like how they seemed to kind of show Draco's struggle in the book, you were able to kind of feel sorry for him and relate to him.
I agree... And they didn't explain how Dumbledore knew to look there; Because Tom had terrorised the other children there when he was little... It's those little bits of backstory and detail that make me love the books so much, so it does kinda suck when they leave things out of the movie that could have been explained with about 20 seconds worth of dialogue. Its the same with the horcruxes; It would have taken all of 2 minutes for Dumbledore to explain his theory of founders objects, even without the Hepzibah memory.
Apart from that I did enjoy it. I to revert back to being a little kid again and just enjoy seeing magic on screen :]
