I love the 1994 version of Black Beauty. I also enjoyed Hidalgo, Secretariat, Seabiscuit, and quite a few others. War Horse was alright, it could have been better (if they had stuck a little closer to the book, it probably would have worked better)

I hated the 1970s version of Black Beauty (it is so different from the book, it is really Black Beauty in name only), Running Free (cliched, inaccurate, and the horse changes from shot to shot). Most horse movies to me are just rather dull, and cliched.

Danny( The Champion Pony) is one of my all time favorite horse movies- definitely a great underdog story! Dreamer, the 1994 Black Beauty, and Seabiscuit were great too. And definitely don't forget The Last Unicorn!

Just bought the 'War Horse' last week. Man! There is some nice horse flesh in that movie. My girls are watching it now...they do enjoy watching the movie.

You just reminded me of another movie! I loved Nico the Unicorn! I had a kids book called the Last Unicorn.

Not just those with a pinto ! That horse made my non-horsey husband into a sometimes-horsey husband. After he saw that movie he suddenly took a huge interest in horses and suddenly wanted to start riding.

Stop for a minute, open your mind, learn. You may not agree with what I say, I may not agree with what you say but we will both learn something new.
