Well I'm back! I thought the movie was okay but there are a couple things that are changed in it. The thing that bothered me the most was the way they pronouced Aang, Sokka, Iroh and Avatar. They pronounced them wrong! I was thoroughly peeved at that. The acting is okay but the special effects are great! They left out Suki though. At the end they leave it open for a sequel but I have a feeling they won't get a chance to make another.

Equestrians kick butt!

There is another airbender movie in the making. They are going to film all three books.

I watched a thing on tv last night about the movie. The director said he did film a lot of the warriors but decided not to use them in the movies.

Ok I was super excited to see this movie. I watched Avatar when I was younger and I just rewatched all 3 seasons last week haha.

The movie was super disapointing - like waste of money disapointing to me. The acting was poor, the script was sooo cheesy and they left way too much out, and changed way too much. We were laughing through the most serious scenes, like the fight scenes because it was just so cliche and poorly done. The special effects were also only so, so. If you do go don't pay for 3D, theres like almost nothing special that makes the 3D stand out.

Also I'm not sure HOW they managed to mispronounce Aang, Sokka, Iroh, and avatar. It's not like a book where there are multiple possible ways to pronouce it.

Oh and the Kyoshi warriors (including Suki) were completely left out. Apa and Momo were given even smaller rolls then in the tv show.

And I'm not the only one that has this opinion, the majority of the audiance booed as the credits started rolling and a lot of people were talking very loudly about the mispronouced names (which seem like they wouldn't be so annoying... but they are!).

Wow...I'm definitely not going to see it then. Gonna wait for the DVD. How can they mispronounce the names???? Seriously! It's not like they didn't say them like 100 times in the series.

I do know that they pronounce Aang like "Ong" but I don't know about the rest of them.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

They pronounce Sokka like So-ka and Iroh like E-roh and avatar is pronounced avitar or something like that.

It got so annoying throughout the movie, when Aang said "My name is 'Ong'" I wanted to yell out NO IT ISN'T!

I seriously cannot believe that the creators of Avatar aren't furious at this abomination that M. Night has unleashed on the movie going public.

I don't think the Kyoshi Warriors are in Book 1, anyway. Don't they first show up in Book 2, Earth? I could be wrong, but I thought they showed up after Siege of the North, which was the end of Book 1.

Sokka doesn't meet Suki until after Yue turns into the moon.

^^Thats a good point. I forgot about that. I am not certain, but I believe that the creators were actually involved in the project. If so, that disappoints me.

They meet during book 1. They go to Kyoshi so Aang can ride the giant Koi, the Kyoshi Island is attacked by Zuko and his men. Sokka meets the Kyoshi warriors then.
