The Lone Ranger

DW and I went to see The Lone Ranger this afternoon.

Great movie. Johnny Depp as Tonto really makes the movie.

Highly recommended!

I saw it the night it came out, it was amazing!
Had some very very funny scenes too, the ending killed me.
Can't wait to buy the DVD.

Have you seen the clip of Johnny Depp falling off his horse? It's on YouTube.

I saw it with a friend last night and really liked it! I went in expecting a nice little Disney family film -- the movie I was originally going to see was sold out. I didn't even know what the Lone Ranger was about. I was surprised by how violent and scary (the heart eating scene!) it was. Not offended, just surprised. Pleasantly surprised.

The Lone Ranger started as a radio show way back when....sometime in the early to mid 1930's....you can listen to these online....The Lone Ranger at OTR.Network (Old Time Radio)..then, because the radio show was so successful it evolved to a TV show in 1950.

The TV series is simple but quite entertaining. If you have hulu plus you can watch several seasons....and this is the root, or base, for the movie.

Another old TV show I love to watch is the western, "The Cisco Kid"....also available on Hulu...

I haven't seen it yet but it is NOT recommended for little ones.
