I was crazy enough to go yesterday. I read the books and thought they did a really good job of taking it from book to screen. I think I would have enjoyed it a lot more if people weren't cheering every time a main character came on or when they saw Edward without a shirt (We had a group of about ten 14 year old girls behind us....) Overall, it was good, and I will definitely get it when it comes out.

If you like Twilight*, you probably shouldn't read any interviews with Robert Pattinson. Apparently he's being quite open in his scorn of the books and in particular the character of Edward.

* If you like it in a 'I know it's trashy but sometimes you just need junk food' way, this doesn't apply, as you would find amusement in his words.

If you believe everything you read, better not read.

I didn't expect you too :) Twilight seems to polarise people: you love it, or you scorn it. A lot of Harry Potter fans are really pissed off by the 'next Harry Potter' label, and a lot of Anne Rice-style fans are really pissed off by the vampire-lite xD

When you do go see it, will you do me a favour? Tell me how they did the sparkles?

If you believe everything you read, better not read.

I wasn't really a fan of the books or the movie. It was actually very unoriginal and the writing lacked something satisfying to me, of course I'm an Anne Rice fan, and I've read a ton of stuff on Fictionpress. Which to be honest, I'm almost certain the entire novel is just different stories from Fictionpress copied and pasted together, there are too many similarities to be honest, from stories written long long before Twilight was conceived into the literary world.

I have friends that enjoyed it, some of them I introduced to Anne Rice and Fictionpress and they became all around vampire fans more so than just Twilight fans. XD

I'm more of a Raymond E. Feist person anyway. He rivals Tolkien in the world of fantasy literature <3

But yeah, I kinda agree, I was actually one of those 'it's like eating rotten souse but I'll swallow it anyway' sort of readers when it came to Twilight.
