When Calls the Heart

Is anyone going to give the new series a shot? I'm watching the 2 hour movie right now. The series starts next week, I think the characters will be different actors/actresses but it looks like it'll be a really cute series....

What channel are you watching on? Is this based on the book by Jannette Oaks? I think that was the authors name? It was set in 1800s time period, probably midwest or prairies?

I didn't even know there was a book! I must read it! I really have enjoyed it, it's just good clean fun.

It's set in a coal mining town that has had a terrible accident where most of the men were killed. The teacher is a young socialite from the city. The main guy in it is a Mountie. And he's kind of nice to look at if I do say so myself!

Thanks for the reminder-I did see it advertised, but have been so busy from sun-up until sun-down I forgot about it! Knowing the Hallmark Channel, they'll be sure to play it again, I hope! :)

He's got a strong jawline. She's actually really pretty, too. I've seen it once and the commercials as well, but it didn't really strike me. Of course, when you're like me and enjoy General Hospital and Criminal Minds, well....

speaking of General Hospital... Jack Wagner is in When Calls the Heart. He was the reason I started watching that old soap opera, he played Frisco Jones...

I totally did not know Jack Wagner was on When Calls the Heart! His last appearance as Frisco Jones was a year ago, and he wasn't happy with his comeback.
