Worst horse movie you've ever seen?

I haven't seen that many. The old Saddle Club wasn't bad, though.

As for the WORST, I hated Flicka 2. Haven't seen Flicka 1, but the second one, all the kid does is cry and hate everyone except this horse (who is at least two or three, changes all the time) who she has a 'magical bond' with. Then she can pretty much instantly ride like a pro, and so forth...

I think lots of horse movies are actually made for NON-horse people so it doesn't matter if they get it wrong. They bug us, but hey, my friend enjoyed Flicka and didn't see very much wrong with the horse part (but also hated the storyline).

There's a place for everything in this world.

Has anyone mentioned Virginia's Run? A story about endurance race horses where girl trains and rides an orphan foal, and then wins an endurance race on him as a 2 year old, galloping the whole thing. I think the horse's age and the completely unrealistic depiction of endurance riding is what bugs me the most.

Movies I loved were Black Beauty, because it was just so pretty and I enjoyed the story (and the book) enough that I could look beyond the switching of horses/fake horses. And National Velvet, because I can kind of relate to the air headed day dreaming main character lol.

Wildfire: The Arabian Heart. Why? Dumb storyline, bad actors that have flat voices, sound fluctuates. And the horse.dies anyway at the end. Why they bothered making a dvd of it, I have no clue.

My least favourite that hasn't been mentioned is The Young Black Stallion. It's 51 minutes long and is pure torture from the beginning to end. I adore Seabiscuit and War Horse. Seabiscuit because the story is really engaging to me and War Hose because it's so nice to look at, I found most of the acting to be pretty solid and also, Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hiddleston. I love those two actors.

Wildfire, an Arabian Heart. I couldn't get through twenty minutes. The acting and camera work was the worst. Plus from the bit of storyline I did manage to get, a person who's never ridden a horse before hopped right on its back and was a perfect rider.

I hate that in any shows. You cannot just hop on a horses back and take off! It takes practice and skill >.<

Flicka 2 was also pretty bad.

I really didn't like the Saddle Club. IMO the books were so much better!!

I loved Phar Lap - Not necessarily just because of the movie, but because I grew up with the story.

I loved War Horse - I really liked how well the animals were treated during the filming and even though some parts are unrealistic I thought everyone did a wonderful job on the story.

My favourite movie is the Silver Brumby. I don't like the girl and her mum at all, I wish they had left them out of the movie... They weren't in the books. Russell Crowe was kind of a strange chioce for The Man. Some of the makeup on the horses is crap and they used a mare to play Thowra who is supposed to be a stallion (although they did alright shooting it, Blondie just didn't have the cresty neck and whenever she reared, they shot her from the waist up. But the part with just the horses, are just beautiful.

The black Stallion was my worst. That movie was just so boring, trying to find a horse then training it then racing. It was "so entertaining." I was "literally on the edge of my seat."

The story line pretty much followed the real story of Secretariat, even though they ADDED stuff into it they had permission by Penny Chenry herself as well as her be there when the movie was in film
