Well, I attempted some videos for the first time today! They didnt turn out as great as I would like, but they are better than nothing. For one, I had my godfather video it and he wasnt really sure what to look for so some of the videos are started or stopped at a place where they shouldn't be, but oh well!
A little background info: sonny is 11 years old, and I just got hi in october. I have never done parelli before and im not sure he has done much of anything before so we are learning together :). He is very, very lazy and needs lots of motivation. Just recently we have accomplished trotting and cantering a full circle without stopping hahaha. So its a REALLY big deal to me when he trots or canters without me even lifting my arm, which he has the past few days and it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside :).
And today we made a big step! And I was glad to have it on tape :). Unfortunately, I am not in the video though :( but sonny has always believed that it is impossible for him to sidepass over something. The past few weeks we have been able to sidepass over a cone which was awesome. So today I tried it over the pole for the first time and after a while he got it :). It wasnt anything major but it felt like a huge accomplishment for me :). And you lucky guys get to see it on tape! Haha just kidding.
Im going out tomorrow so if anyone wants to see anything particular on video ill give it a shot! So just let me know!
Oh and im open to constructive, helpful TIPS. Please no bashing ;)
Oh and I have a few more, but its getting late and I have a whole paper to write tonight. Oopsies....
