I have these two information sheets that I used when I was looking for horses.
One is the initial liking/findings of the horse (before you see it) and there's another one for when you see the horse and ride it.

I found it very helpful and it was very easy to find the horse (after comparing them side by side with the information I had)

I can e-mail you the sheets if you want.

hello,
I got my mare eclipse a year and a half ago, and I went to a barn that was selling over 100 horses, and I went to all the pastures, and went to all the barns except one. I went up and I met all the horses, and just looked them in the eye to get an idea to see what their horseanility was like. I go by my feelings, like gut feelings when it comes to getting a hose as well. I went to all the barns except one. That day my mare Kittyhawk was being put down, and I couldn't bare to be there so I went with my friend up to this place which was 3.5 h away. I went into this last barn and I literally couldn't see any other horses and she was in the middle of this 24 box stall horse barn. Our eyes locked, and I was just amazed by her, and I asked to lead her and I loved the way she moved, and I loved how spirited she was. I wasn't planning on getting a horse right than, but I asked the gentleman to put payments on her and about a month later, I had her in my barn. That's how I knew Eclipse was the one. Off my feelings and immediate love for her. I hope that this helped, if not you enjoyed the story!!! :)

you can start with nothing, and out of nothing or no way, a way will be provided.
