Ever heard about this guy?

Have any of you heard about or seen any movies on this guy named Larry Trocha? If you've seen any of his movies were they of any use to you?

You can also see some of his stuff through YouTube, to give you an idea of what he does...

I have heard of him,he is from California. He actually just moved his place from Penngrove to Acampo to the Sliding J not too far from where I used to work. He seems to be pretty knowledgeable.

I notice that you posted this in the Natural Horsemanship section. I would not consider him a natural horsemanship trainer. Much more traditional style trainer.

I DON'T LEAD 'EM AND FEED 'EM, I RIDE 'EM AND SLIDE 'EM.

Oh, sorry...What is the difference between the two styles of training?
When I looked up his website it seemed his thinking was along the same lines as say, Clinton Anderson...?
It won't hurt the horse to train it Trocha's way right? Is there any trainer you would take instead, because you "don't" like his style? ( not saying that you don't like him)

Lol, I didn't mean you posted it the wrong section..how dare you! Lol.
I was just saying that he is more of a traditional show horse trainer. He has clients that send him horses to train for show, rather than most natural horsemanship clinicians who travel around putting on clinics teaching more of the backyard horse owners to train their own horses.

I haven't watched a whole lot of his videos but I have chatted with him through emails briefly, I like him, he is a very straight forward guy, no sugar coating.

As far as YouTube videos I would definitely watch his over a lot of the othe nut jobs that post "training" videos on there.

I have never personally used his methods, but i've subscribed to his website for newsletters and tips. I think his information is pretty good, but I think its great he offers free training tips and videos. The information he provides you for free, most trainers would charge for.

Yeah I've signed up for his E-mails too. I just wanted to know if his movies were easy to follow with "how to do it" stuff in them.

I watched his You-Tube on stopping the horse and that seemed to be pretty good...

I know I've heard that name before. I think some people had some very strong opinions of him over on the Fugly blog.
