On the second game, the porcupine game which teaches the horse to yield to and from steady (or direct) pressure (vs. the driving game which teaches the horse to yield to and from implied pressure) the Phases you use are:
Phase 1: press the hair (yes, this is how light you need to be)
Phase 2: press the skin
Phase 3: press the muscle
Phase 4: press the bone
When teaching this you go very slowly....put pressure on slowly and release quickly and reward the slightest try so the horse can connect the dots...so he learns what happens before what happens, happens!
