I've often said that when teaching a horse something that repetition is important, and that when the horse cocks a hip, he's bored with it. The other day as I was playing with him, barely half a minute, he cocked his hip. Ok, let's do something else, got the hip again. Then it twigged. I've been doing basically same old, same old, thinking I was fine tuning it when really he was quite bored with what we were doing. From now on I shall try to challenge him. Flapping plastic bags doesn't work as I did such a good job getting him over that fear that he looks at me as if to say, "Oh hell, this again"?
