I saw this guy at the Northern Illinois Horse Fest last Aug. He seemed like a nice enough person but I felt his abilities were fairly remedial compared to others I've seen.
The guy that stood out for me when I was there was Chris Bohenek Bohenek “Core Balance” ? Horsemanship
a clinician they brought out from Montana. He had a great way with a couple of tough pushy horses he used in his demos and really explained this whole "vaquero" style he uses.
I really liked Chris he stuck around after wards to talk with people and seemed genuine and down to earth with none of the B.S you get from so many of the other guys that are mentioned all the time on sites like these (Clinton,Parrelli,Cox ect,ect.......) You know the clinicians that spend more time trying to sell or push you a product instead of truly trying to help the horses or to educate people on their horse handing skills. Heck a lot of them are just glorified snake charmers in my opinion anyways.
I saw on Bohenek's website that he offers a horsemanship school that looks pretty interesting. Just my observation, hope it helps for what it's worth.
Good luck to you and I hope I did not offend anyone since I am just a horse lackey with a $0.02 opinion. And this time it happened to be about the mainstream "cookie cutter" clinicians.
