Yes,FCER is how I became involved with the mustangs. Jicarilla Mustang Heritage Alliance is currently connected to Four Corners Equine Rescue, eventually they plan to break away and file to be an independent non-profit on their own.
JMHA doesn't have a web site yet, but here is a link to their FB page for anyone who would like more information about the program:

It has taken some time for me to prepare for the second of the mustangs. After Orion was adopted I had some major barn renovations and my horses had to live in the mustang pen for a week or so.

He is here now: Introducing Rito! At the time of filming Rito had only been with me for 4 days and I hadn't done any "training" with him yet, we were just getting to know one another.

    Basic Info:
3yo gelding, approximately 14.2hh from the El Rito herd(ergo his name) He has been in captivity since Nov. 2012.

Temperament: Rito is an extremely willing, sweet natured horse. He was by far the most scared when this band was brought in, but now he more accustomed to all of the crazy things we humans do he is showing himself to be a rather calm with a good mind for learning. He is spirited and playful reminds me of a Labrador retriever puppy.
Heritage: Rito was Orion's herd mate so they both carry a similar genetic history, though I think Rito really takes after the Spanish Barb side of the family. I love how long his legs are, and his short strong little back.

Captive history: After being trapped, he and four of his band were brought to a public facility where they were boarded. For 4 months volunteers did their best to begin the gentling process there but with no round pen available and a constant flow of traffic it was extremely difficult to keep the horses focused. Each of the horses was sent to a different trainer for 30 days(I took Orion) Rito went to a very skilled local NH trainer were he learned to lead and was touched some, but was still very hard to catch. After the 30 days he went back to the public boarding pens where the volunteers again had no luck trying to handle him for another 60 days, now he is with me. I am definitely benefiting from all the exposure to humans he has had in the last 7 months.

Here is Rito one week later. Before he came to me he had only been touched a little on his forehead and the sides of his face, so I have concentrated much of this video on how comfortable he is getting with being touched. I am surprised about how willing this "wild" horse is!
