My Point about Parelli

I origanlly came here to the horse forum, because some was bashing Pat because of something they thought was cruel(the horse Cat something on you tube). She was bashing him hard and I was quite sure she didnt know much about horses. "I have seen Pat along with 60 other NH, Ray Hunt, Buck Brannaman, Joe Wolter, Richard Winters, Dennis Reis, Nuebert, Lee Smith, Chris Cox, just to name a few that where there. You could see them working side by side and you could see 4-5 where much better than the rest, Pat was one. His ego is nasty, Tried to talk to him a couple of times, not worth my time. But the bottom line is he is talented, extremely. That is not just my observation, but 2 of the TOP trainers in the NRCHA, actauly I was bashing his ego and they both said he can do the deal and is very talented.

SO I came here because google guided me to this site for comments on him, once I was here I could see many of the comments where not fair, AS FAR AS HIS HORSEMANSHIP GOES! His ego and manners are another story.

So even though he is an ass, I had to defend his horsemanship.
THAT IS ALL!
I have heard several top trainers say the same, NRHA, NCHA, included.

From what I have SEEN FIRST HAND many that bash Trainers can not do it themselves, so their comments are hard to listen to.
I do know from doing it myself it is a much different game when you try to fix problem horses others have messed up.
There is not a trainer out there that is being accused of some rough methods.
Lawsuits etc...
WATCHING PAT OR OTHER TRAINERS IS NOT THE SAME AS RIDING WITH THEM, FIXING PROBLEMS, EXTREME PROBLEMS IS DIFFERENT THEN FIXING.

I HELPED ONE WOMAN WHO WAS SO ANOYING ABOUT PARELLI I HAD TO LEAVE. SO I GET IT, THAT WAS FOR JUSTING ROLLING ROPE AT HER HORSE
THAT IS MY POINT

I hope you all enjoy your horses, GOOD LUCK

Let's see, you joined yesterday and have at this particular second, 101 posts.

Why don't you go ride your horses instead of having a snit fit because the majority of people on this and other BBs don't think Parelli's all that and a bag of Cheetos?

Since you made some very snotty remarks about people and their riding abilities, I find it ironic that in the last 24 hours you've managed to do nothing but ride your own keyboard.

So basically, you decided to come and offend a bunch of people you don't know simply because they said some 'unfair' things about a guy you don't even like? You have no idea what people here have accomplished or how good a horsemen they are. Just because not everybody wants to go out there and make a name for themselves doesn't mean they aren't accomplished horsemen. Since you are so fond of name dropping, I will give a bit of the same. I grew up in the AQHA show world. My Dad trained and rode multiple world champions in everything from reining to roping to WP. I am good friends with Billy Allen. I have been around the horse world enough to see what a good horseman is and what they are capable of. PP may have been a good horseman, once, years ago, but he has become so deluded over the years that now he is nothing more than a joke to everyone who actually knows how to do anything for themselves without a 7 step program written in crayon. I train horses for a living and while I'm a long way from perfect, I can spot a good horse and a good rider when I see one. Unfortunately, PP isn't one of them.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

I'm still not quite sure what a random picture of a random horse clinic has to do with anything??

Can I name drop too, smrobs?

I know Stanley White. If I was ever to have a hero, Stanley would have been it.

Now HE'S a horse trainer, and no carrot sticks, DVDs, or 7 Games required. Just good old fashioned common sense horse training.

I know a lot of top breeders and owners. These are the people who keep trainers in business. I do not know a single one who would send a horse to PP. Me being one of them. I can also tell you that once you really get to know big time trainers well enough that they will really tell you what they think of horses, trainers, breeders, and owners. Non of them have much nice to say about PP abilities as a trainer. If you are joe smo off the street and walk up to those same trainers they will play nice. It is just what they do. They are professionals.

Again the proof is in the pudding so to speak. Just look at his videos. If you are looking for someone to teach your horse tricks then he is your man. If you are looking for a well trained horse who can perform. Not so much.

Since there has been quite a bit of talk about this thread the Mod team has talked it over and it will be returned to the NH forum but will remain locked.
