This last filly I got had a bit in her mouth twice for teaching her to take the bit before I bought her, but hasn't experienced on in well over 2 years since I got her. My older mare doesn't know what a bit is . Haven't used a bit in about 40 years so it's been a LONG time since I had to think about removing a bridle for ease of grazing.
