Westfall or Parelli

I'm wanting to start a program with my horse. To give us something to do, and to strengthen our bond (I have had him only a year). And what I wanted to know is out of Stacy Westfall's program (dvd's, equipment, books, ect.) or Pat Parelli's program, which one you would choose to do. I respect them both and love the work they both do. So any feedback on which one you think I should do would be very helpful.

Thanks!!

It's personal taste. I have some Stacy Westfalls I bought because I get one station and every Sat night is monopolized with hockey. Parelli's backers have a membership fee which offers discounts but when you consider the cost of the membership, it's no bargain. If you are looking for some discounted Westfall dvds, mine are in pristine condition. Hockey season is almost over. Yeahhhh.

You can rent DVD's from giddyupflix , its like the horse verison of Netflix Rent some videos, from different trainers and see which one suits you. It'll save you a TON of money before going out and buying a bunch of stuff and you decide this method isn't right for you.

If I had to choose I'd choose Westfall. At least she's DONE something. She was a good reining trainer before the video of her riding that horse bareback and bridleless went viral. I don't buy into the horseeanality crap.

LOL! Well, it does save you a bunch of money instead of paying the $$$$ that Parelli/Anderson/ and others charges for their DVDS or sets.

And you can thank COWCHICK, cause she's the one that told me about the site! Haha :)

I don't think you should follow one while shunning another. This is not religion.-
Read/watch Westfall, Parelli, Anderson, Buck, Classical Dressage, Old Cowboy, Whatever, and use the ideas/methods/concepts that work best for you and your horse. You are just shorting yourself if you say I can't do xxx's training methods because I am a strict follower of yyy.
