I went back to the store Friday to check on the saddle. Unfortunately it had been sold.

Loaded up my saddle yesterday and went to my brother's yesterday for a ride. I took my camera with me but did not take any pictures. I literally could not believe how drastic the horse had changed in a month. Her entire topline was showing bone structure, and I could have stood away from her and counted all of her ribs. She had plenty of hay, but no water. I petted her for awhile, gave her water and cleaned and checked her hoofs. Her hoofs had no splits but she is badly in need of a trim. I was pissed. No one was home so I didn't have a chance to talk to my brother. I have tried calling him but so far hasn't gotten an answer. My aunt lives next door to him, If I don't get in contact with him today, I will have my aunt to get him to call me.

I'm going to tractor supply and pick up a few things for her, (food and 100g stock tank). My brother is an hour away and I work, so I can't go there every day to make sure she get's fed. BTW I named her Sacara.

I have 1.5 acres that I can fence in and put in a run in shed for her. Going to try to find my brother and see if he will agree to let me bring her here if he's not going to take care of her. If he agree, I will start getting everything ready and use his horse trailer to move her here. The BO where I take lessons said she could get her farrier to come here and take care of his hoofs on the days that he comes out to do her horses. I'm less than 10 minutes away from the BO. All of her horses are barefoot and I want Sacara to remain barefoot. I can work with the BO for getting vet and dental exams for her too. She hasn't had her teeth floated since my brother had her so I know she is overdue. I previously asked him to call and get these things done and let me know when they were coming and I would be there to pay for everything since she hardly gets rode unless I go down there.

Sorry for the long post. This is more of a rant since I am pissed because of the condition the horse was in. If anyone have any suggestions on any food and ration balancers that I can get at tractor suppler, please advise. I just want to make sure she is taken care of and remain healthy.

Yesterday wasn't all bad. Since I wasn't about to put a saddle on Sacara in the condition that she's in, hubby took me bass fishing. It gave me a chance to calm down and come up with a plan to try to help her get back healty. I didn't have much luck with fish, but did catch a big azz turtle that I thought was chasing me, but then realized that I was still holding onto the rod and it was simply running where ever I was dragging it to. LOL
