The OP has quite a few contradictions in her posts. First, she's supposedly been around horses her 'whole life', then states she's new to horses. It can't be both.
A 13 y/o simply doesn't know what she doesn't know, and this is a major accident waiting to happen. So excuse actual adults who HAVE been around the horses the majority of their lives for telling the OP the truth, and don't want either the children or the horses getting hurt or worse.
did not see anything saying she was new to horses in this thread --- have not checked users history to see if she stated it elsewhere --- did see she just started learning about them 3 years go --- lots can be learned in 3 years and a lot of that can be passed along to another person with zero experience
Not going to save my annoyance for the parents who are not on this board -- that is a different subject
I wouldn't want the children to have an accident either -- but I don't think the answer is to scold them --- I am sure many here could give actual useful advice without being snotty about it.--
