Question hwlp getting a green horse to bend around my leg?

the horse I normally ide is still very green, and I have been trying rally hard to get her to bend around my leg. What I do is I put pressure on her with my inside led but she just ignores it, so I tried also using a tiny inside rein but all that happened was she just goes to the inside. help?

thanks!!!!

This is what I do with my horse:
When I first teach them, I start by going around a few barrels.
At each barrel, I will ask them to turn. As they begin to turn, I put my foot just slightly further back than usual and apply pressure with my heel and leg. If he does not make a curve by that, then I will slowly tip his nose in and in until he makes a move to curve. As soon as he does, I will stop and drop everything.
As he gets good like that going around the barrel, I will back off from the barrel a bit and still do this same procedure. As he gets good this way, I will back off from the barrel entirely.

I hope this helped!!!

Having something to bend around like barrels is one way..if you don't have the equipment :)..try spiralling in on a circle and then spiraling back out using a leg yield (inside leg slightly behind the girth and pushing the horse "out."

The lack of bend could also be an issue of simple lack of muscles/stiff muscles. You could also try (or add to the mix) simple flexing of the head and neck from side to side at the standstill. I do this particular exercise once to each side prior to mounting, immediately after mounting and before moving off the mounting block (which also helped to teach my horse NOT to walk off) and then again before I dismount. When the horse was much less supple I did this maybe 10 times to each side at each point and even while taking breaks during the ride. Until he was supple, if we were standing still, he was being flexed for a minute or so.
