A great place to post about him or ask if anyone has reported him missing are tack and feed stores, as most local horse people will go there to get supplies. If he truly only has four teeth then he is very young (4 to 6 weeks old) and will need additional supplement feeds to make sure he grows right -more than just grass and water. Posting at least what country you live in and region might help us suggest more things to help you out. As others have recommended I would suggest you talk to other horse owners in your area and see if they can help you out to learn what you need to to take care of this foal. He really needs his Mom still and to be raised with others of his kind to learn how to behave.

The fact that he is so friendly indicates that his early life was filled with human interaction, otherwise he would be more scared of you. I am sure that there is someone out there missing him.

You need to keep from putting anything off. Call a vet immediately, explain the situation (that this foal is very very young, and needs nutrition right now if it's going to survive). If it's that young there is probably a very frantic mare owner searching for the baby, and I bet if you started REALLY poking around you would find the owners. Feed stores, tack stores, make fliers and talk with the people running it to have them help you out. The baby is cute, but it needs more than water, without the essentials it will die. There's a reason nurse mares are so important if a mother passes or cannot feed her baby. If you cannot find the owners right away, it would be the best thing for the baby to give it up to someone with lots of experience who can keep the baby alive and healthy.

I don't believe he's a pony. I think he is a Miniature Horse foal.

Personal farms probably won't be on the Internet, you need to go out and look in person. Knock on doors and go to feed stores, call vets, farriers etc.

I wonder if he was just abandoned by someone. If he was lost then surely the local police would have been informed
Hopefully your vet will give you feeding advice, maybe a local farmer could help you out with a small piece of land to graze him on - maybe with some sheep or goats?
Are there any horse charities near you that could either take him or give you some training and care advice.
He really does need a companion of some sort, ideally a kind natured older horse

Please please PLEASE call a vet, this is a serious situation and it's making me nail-biting nervous thinking about it being there.

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
...A very advanced maneuver.

I have to say, and I'm not being deliberately unkind here, I think you're already regarding this little horse as *yours* and not putting enough effort into finding his real owners. He sounds reasonably well handled so someone MUST be missing him.
He needs his mother, or a much more knowledgeable home. This is a recipe for disaster as things stand at the moment
It's commendable that you've come here, looking for help though and it's clear your intentions as good.. but you need to find his real owner or knowledgeable help NOW!

I am sorry everyone for the absence but i had some problems with my computer. I checked with the police and there isn't any report on missing foal in my county.the vet said he is alright and told me to feed him a mixture of mashed wheat, corn and barley i think( it is something close to a powder, can't find the english word for it) but the problem is that he doesn't really want to eat grass anymore. What do you think about this?
Regarding the effort i put into finding his owners, I believe i did anything and everything in my power to find his owners, but that doesn't mean that i will walk him from door to door asking if anyone lost him.I am sorry that you think i am being selfish regarding his ownership( as i said in my previous posts the prime reason i took him was because i was worried about his health, so if i will ever find his mother be sure that i will give him in a blink)
At the moment the forum of the romanian ecvet is offline, will try again later.
Thank you again for your posts.
