I'm not sure if I'm putting this in the right spot but it's the only place I figured made a bit of sense?
Anyway so I bought some molasses yesterday for my horse. It came in a 2 litre milk bottle and was filled about halfway up the handle, so there was a bit of space at the top. Anyway in the car I had it on my lap, opened it once or twice for no particular reason, but the weird thing is after I while I looked down at it and it was filled to the brim. So I open the cap and have a look. Sure enough it's sitting right in the neck of the bottle. So I close it again and as we get closer to home the sides bulge a bit. Once I'm inside I take the cap off and the molasses just comes pouring out the top. I put it in the sink and lost a bit down the edges before I transferred some to another container. So now in both containers the molasses is a lighter brown and I can see tiny air bubbles all through it. Does anyone know what happened here?
It still smells the same but I'm slightly concerned about giving it to my horse now.
