I am so sorry to hear this. Nothing can ever prepare you for something like this, no matter how many times you experience it.

Love the poem, it's a nice tribute to him.

Oh my goodness. What are the odds of that happening. A good friend of mine lost her gelding the same way. It was absolutely devastating. The one saving soul in this, is at least you know there was no suffering for him. It would have been instant.
I hope you are able to heal with time and find peace.
