Sensible people realize that any horse can potentially kill you, but chose to minimize that risk by acquiring a proven, well trained horse. You completely missed the point of my original post. Would you rather this girl get a horse with no training or invest in an animal who is much less likely to get her hurt? Because it certainty isn't the same level of risk...

I never said for her to get a untrained horse face the facts a horse whether well trained or not is still a horse. And my best friend was killed on a horse she paid big bucks for cause he was well trained yep well trained. So no one here can tell me well trained is less likely to get you hurt your dealing with a prey animal. No I didn't miss any point.

Sorry I just can't buy the well trained horse is less likely to get you hurt deal seen to many well trained horses hurt people. Watched in horror as my bfs horse got her killed so just not going to conveince me well trained is not going to hurt you. Until youv been in my shoes youv got no clue....maybe what happened was a freak deal but to this day I can't get that image out of my head....happened 2 years ago I still can see it like it happened yesterday.

Oh the horse she bought was proven horse so there again iam not buying proven isnt less likely to get you hurt.

Op hope you get a nice horse and things work out good for you.
