    I don't give any kind of treats as a rule. When my mare does good I reward her by loosening the cinche for a while or quit working her. I am not going to bad mouth the practice. .but it doesn't work for me. I maynot always have a treat but I can always reward her with release.

    My horses always got sugar cubes at horse shows...makes for a good, easy treat and you don't get colorful slobber. But as anything, always in moderation.
