I recently sold a beautiful Wintec 500 All Purpose English Saddle with the Gullet system. It is a very comfortable saddle, plus, you can change out the tree to fit any horse. I found it on Craig's List. Only had it a month when I decided to go back to western riding.
I highly recommend a Wintec. You can find like new saddles at different sites, or at a local tack shop. Many have consignment saddles and bridles, etc.
The can help you find the perfect fit for you and your horse. Be sure to measure your horse's girth before you buy one. You can also join different horse associations, like AQHA if you own a Quarter Horse and get discounts
On feed, clothing, etc. I found a used saddle years ago that was posted on a
Board at Tractor Supply.
You should be able to find a nice, used Wintec 500 All Purpose saddle with the Gullet system, with leathers and stirrups for $325 - $500.
