Tiny I don't think we're quite as passionate as you guys :P
We'll give an opinion on the matter but aren't going to Ross friends because of their political stance!

Jaydee, the media, Facebook etc all blow what she does say quite out of proportion. She really doesnt seem as 'crazy' as she's made out to be.
I do love that she's raised the tax free threshold to $10k, less tax out of wages is always a good thing!

I actually think that some of the things she is supposed to say are really brave and what most people are really thinking!!!

The spit at Tony Abbott about women's rights was true, if that is one of the ones you have seen. Other than that, I would have to know which quotes you have been sent to know if they are true or not

If The Liberals get in we are all stuffed. I was talking to some economics minded people the other day around UNI who were saying that the World Bank, or IMF, or some big organisation, has been doing research into Howard era economic policy and apparently it was some of the most abysmal policy in Australian History. According to them if it weren’t for the mining boom, Australia would have been in severe rescission; and that the only reason it isn’t now is due to reasonably good Labor economic policy.
If the Liberals win government they they will bring in all the Howard era crap, including Work Choices.
I don’t think Labor is a great deal better, but they certainly aren’t as bad. Besides, the entire political landscape in Australia changed throughout the Howard era; which went hand in hand with bogan attitudes being generalised across the whole society (for the non-Australians, bogans are our version of redneck, roughly speaking). Now, instead of being worried about having their rights at work destroyed, the average person is supposed to be more worried about refugees. Its Pathetic. I really hope Labor wins the election, not because I like them, but because I hate them less than I do the Liberals. And, if the Liberals do get in its going to mean tough times ahead for everyone who isn’t already rich.

Andrew, looks like we have identical opinions on this. Labour is the better of two evils. Liberal will undo all of the good policies that labour gave introduced, not to mention Abbotts shocking stance on women's rights ready to send us back to the dark ages as good little house wives.

Been stuck in the office all day, haven’t been watching the news. Hell its only a 10 minute drive from my office, I should be better informed than this. Rudd wont challenge, someone else will?

Nope. No need to ballot, they went to the caucus meeting and there was only one nomination for PM and one for deputy. Julia and Wayne remain, no one in Labour wanted to try and challenge. I think that pretty much puts the "leadership worries" to bed for this week.

I think Rudd will bide his time, Labor will lose the election, Rudd becomes opposition leader and tries to win the next election and does so not looking the jerk like Keating did to Hawk.

I'm not old enough to remember that

I am so sick of reminding people that they did not vote a prime minister in...
