There have been a few news reports on the people who were holding up those signs at the rallies, they were paid by the Democratic Party.

While we all know there are Wackos at every rally and even a few Leaders that spew Trash, they are NOT a sanctioned by the True tea Party Movement, if you stop and talk to the Majority of the people at the Rallies, they are normal

I, for one, don't think Ted Cruz or Sarah Palin are mainstream, but I do think they are rational. Then again... I think the mainstream is flowing the wrong direction. I'm pretty sure the founders of this nation were, and would be today, thought as pretty radical. That's not such a bad thing. We've all been able to enjoy a taste of the freedom they established for us, although I see that flowing away to, as the "mainstream" gets bigger and bigger.

IMO our "freedoms" are not being eroded.
What I find troubling is the language used by Ted Cruz and Sarah palin to label anyone they disagree with as un american. Socialist, communist, and a danger to this nations security.
Ted Cruz is enjoying his moment in the spotlight. Let him. When he is up for reelection in 6 years Texas will be a blue state. He will do one of two things. Continue to try and hold his office with the support of the "tea party" or become a moderate. I for one hope he is a one term wonder. Shalom

These were true tea party sponsored events with all the attendant geegaws. I saw absolutely NO attempt to curb the rhetoric or any distance put between the "party platform" and the speakers spewing the 'N' word over and over (among other verbal atrocities).
Nope, it was a 'tea party' sponsored event. However, Darrin is right when he said that since there really IS no organized tea party, anyone can call themselves "legitimate". THAT will be the death of the movement, IMO.

So how does the left square their inane rants against the gop about violence against women with the gun grabbing left and their "advice" to vomit and piss and blow a whistle while crawling to the safe zone? Not to mention the rabid support of violent death to pre born women.

I've been to the rallies too & never, not once did I see any sign or hear such language. Maybe that behavior is more of a Southern thing.

Just dropping in to say they must not have been Occupy Wall street rallies that you attended...lots of liberals were paid to wave signs at those...but then that is OK for THEM, huh? Bwahaha...

Oh, and I can only post a tame one - it is, after all, a family forum...

Well, if you think all liberals believe what one man said about peeing on themselves being protection against rape, then I guess you wholeheartedly agree with everything said on that notorious rape chart, since a conservative said THAT.

Me? I am a gun toting firearms instructor/cop who just happens to be liberal. I see no conflict there, myself....nor do any of my other gun toting liberal friends.

Face, I had to work the occupy demonstrations in my town. Trust me, we had a bunch of them. I do not believe anyone paid those folks of ours to carry signs. They were 100% dedicated folks. Do I believe it happened. I'm not sure....Do I believe people on Fox said they did? I wouldn't doubt that at all. There are plenty of dedicated nuts on both sides of the spectrum.

This was MY departments response to an anarchist group of occupiers who took over a building on private property to "occupy" it.

You would not believe the criticism for the way we evicted them.
