    .

    Great Video

It is so true what he says, the media and politicians only care about stirring up trouble and getting their name in lights.

The truth is rarely told by either group.

Perhaps the fact that the last two mass shootings occured in places where such violent crime rarely happens (outside of the 250,000+ cities) is what makes them so ultra shocking. Shooting on a much smaller scale happen many times A DAY in places like Chicago , Houston, New York, L.A. . But since they are kind of part of the expected envirnment, they aren't "violent crime', they are just like . . The weather.

While these mass shootings by the nutcases appear to be on the rise...are they? Yes, they are getting bigger, as the next one always wants to "outdo" their predecessor. But are the numbers of incidents goings up? It is true, however, that shootings (other than the mass shootings) are on the downturn.

So, I see this as a mental health issue, largely.

Yep, and youths brawling after closing time of the pubs is like the weather in the UK and is also recorded as "violent crime" even though it may be no more than a black eye. You really have to have a definition of "violent crime" and the same systems of recording it to make any comparisons.

Gun crime has gone down in some areas but up in others even though the actual real overall figures may be going down
How much of this is more down to better policing and communities pulling together in these areas than a mass widespread increased ownership of guns?
After the Cheshire Murders in CT the rise in families purchasing Security Alarms and improved windows and doors was higher than the increase in guns bought

So, a little ole black eye isn't from a violent act? Really? So, if those same two people knock a tooth out, is it violent now? If they pick up a fork and stab the guy in the arm, violent now? If they grab a dart off the ole dartbaord and take out an eye, is it violent yet? A baseball (oops, cricket) bat?

Just tell me where YOU draw the line to make it a violent crime. For me, it is any criminal act (brawl) that causes physical damage.
