When it comes to Obamacare? Absolutely. Your liberal networks and politicians supported legislation they never read. Do you honestly think that was smart? If you do, so be it. And if you don't, why in the world would you throw jabs at FOX for wanting to know what the heck was in the legislation?...

Reporting Requirements
The act requires insurers (including employers who self-insure) that provide minimum essential coverage to any individual during a calendar year to report certain health insurance coverage information to both the covered individual and to the IRS (new IRC § 6055).

The information required to be reported includes: (1) the name, address, and taxpayer identification number of the primary insured, and the name and taxpayer identification number of each other individual obtaining coverage under the policy; (2) the dates during which the individual was covered under the policy during the calendar year; (3) whether the coverage is a qualified health plan offered through an exchange; (4) the amount of any premium tax credit or cost-sharing reduction received by the individual with respect to such coverage; and (5) such other information as the Secretary may require.

This requirement is effective for calendar years beginning after 2013.

The Insurance I now have that costs 163.00 a month will cost 458.00 a month if purchased through the Exchange

Yup, now that is affordable

I am lucky in that respect because VA takes care of all my needs
And it is a qualified plan under ACA.

I will have to find the statute in Obamacare, but I believe anyone who has their Health Insurance paid for by someone else (unless a spouse) even by VA will have to report the Value of the Insurance as taxable Income.

I hope this is not the case, no one can afford to pay taxes on something an employer provides, but then again if you drive a company car home they Tax part of that benefit now, it is a matter of time before they tax the air we breath... oh, I think they do that now also

The whole thing is designed to get us off employer healthcare and onto gov't healthcare. It will be cheaper for our employers to pay the fine....er, tax to the gov't then to pay for our health care themselves.

Yearling
I wonder how many people, who have gone without health insurance for many years, or who fall thru the cracks and cannot get Medicaid, or who cannot afford regular insurance... what they would do without this. I am willing to bet that most everyone who opposes this has never gone without health insurance for very long. Especially for our senior citizens and the disabled, things are not easy for them, they do need help with getting healthcare and insurance.
