    What a world

Ok, so obama said he would be a 1-term president if he didn't fix the economy. Now he's saying he didn't have time to do it. He had 4 years! This world is so twisted. People need to open their eyes. If a 14 year old can see this, why can't america? Or can't they see past his color? I did a mini-self-survey befire the election at school and asked who they would vote for and why. The answer? The president because he is the first president of that color. I'm not racial in any way, in fact I have a friend of that color and we are all equal in the eyes of the Lord, but this is ridiculous. E as a nation need to wake up and smell the daisies. He burned the American flag when he was younger. Did he know he would be president? No, but is that really an excuse?

Well, people who are older than 14 might understand that you cannot fix such a global economic mess in four years. It took far longer to get us there and even the most aggressive Republican plan takes longer than ten years to fix things. Just curious, how would YOU fix things?

So, you have A friend of "that color"? How progressive. In fact, the color issue has worked as much against him as for him. For those who are proud of this county's ability to progress out of the dark ages (quite the pun), there are just as many who looked suspiciously at the color issue. He has received more threats than any other president.

Many people do things as kids they are not proud of as adults. I would almost hazard a guess that even you may have done a few things that you wouldn't want the world to scrutinize too closely. We all have. Youth can be a certain excuse.

One thing I CAN commend you for. You are aware. It is great when young people look at the world and start analyzing the ills. It is the beginning of, hopefully, being one of the cure instead of one of the problems. I will challenge you, however, to always try to see both sides of an argument before you take a solid stance. It gives you perspective.

Presidents are not Kings they cannot fix things with proclamations . Their word or wishes are not law. Congress has equal power and is as responsible for this countries failures as well as its successes.
I doubt that Obama even realized he had a chance to be President until 3-4 years before 08.
GW Bush had a few moments in his life he described as youthful mistakes. Shalom

Yes, it takes a while to fix the economy. Why would he say that he would do it in one term then? And, yes he has received threats. What about all the fact that he has taken more vacations than any other president? I'd like to go to hawaii, but that's a few too many.

Funny that you say that, all I here from the Left is the Rescission and almost everything else is "Bush's Fault", "we inherited it from Bush", etc.

But when someone says Obama has not done anything or Obama is the reason for this or that.... then Excuses are made for Obama.

Let's quit playing favorite's and fibbing to ourselves, if "it was Bush's Fault", then it is darn sure "Obama's Fault" now

HJ, if you are going to carry on an adult conversation, at least check your facts. Obama is WELL behind both Bushes and Reagan in vacation days.

President Obama had spent 61 days during his first 31 months in office.

President Bush spent 180 days on his Crawford Ranch and at Camp David during his first 31 months in office

President Reagan spent 112 days on vacation during his first 31 months in office

The problem is that W. Wasn’t thrifty. He was the most expensive vacation president in US history. Not only did Bush spend more days on vacation than any other president, but he used Air Force One more often while on vacation than any other president.

But wasnt Bush working and meeting with other politicians and foreign leaders at Camp David? Technically, its just another office, or so my civics teacher says.
