Talking Attack Cat!!!

So, I've been telling everybody that my cat thinks that he's a dog. Tonight, he has proven me right! He has decided that he doesn't like our newest dog all that much. We got Leo (full grown Catahoula Leopard Dog) in December from the SPCA. But anyway....... My husband got home, and Romeo (the cat) is laying on the end of the chair. Of course the dogs run into the kitchen with "Daddy". When Leo went by the chair, Romeo "reached out to touch" him. Leo sidestepped, so Romeo went on attack. He jumped off the chair and got him.

So then, dear hubby is on the sofa wrestling with our lab. Leo is standing by the sofa. Romeo actually lept off of the chair to join in on the fun. We hear the little "rrrou". Romeo has actually jumped up and joined in on the wrestling. By this time my eyes are watering I'm laughing so hard. He said all he saw was the little head before Romeo jumped down and took off. BUT...that's still not the end of it.

Leo goes to go back into the kitchen, and Romeo runs out of nowhere and corals him into the bedroom. I can see Leo run into the bathroom, and Romeo run under the bed from where I'm sitting. By this time, my sides are hurting. I waited a little bit, then went in to see what Leo was doing. He was in the bathroom cowering in the dark, shaking. He wouldn't come out!!! When I turned around, I see Romeo's beady eyes staring at him from under the bed. So, I pick up Leo and CARRY him back to the l/r. As we're passing the bed, Romeo growls at us!!! But can he leave it there? NO...OF COURSE NOT!

I get Leo back into the l/r. Romeo comes to the doorway of the bedroom and it's like he's stalking the poor dog! This last time, he actually hung on!!! But thankfully that has been the last "attack" in the past 30 minutes. And hopefully for the night.

Below are pictures of the "catdog" and the dog. I hope this has made somebody laugh as hard as I did!!!

One of the barn cats is like our guard-cat. Sometimes the neighbor dogs come over to our side of the fence ... one day we were all sitting around chatting and looked down the barn aisle and suddenly see the dog running for his life back toward his property and right on his heels was Julie the cat.
It was funny as heck.

I love to see the dogs jump sideways if Romeo makes even the smallest sound when they're near him.

My cat and my dog Sophie (we have one other dog) do not like each other at all. If the cat is anywhere near anyone, say sitting with us on a chair, on the couch, etc, Sophie will make a point to either lay at our feet, or get up in our laps and put herself in between the cat and us. The other day she looked at the cat on the loveseat next to my dad, jumped up to be with my dad, looked behind her at the cat, and then tried to sit on her head! Its quite funny.

Of course the cat also likes to hide in closets, around corners, on top of high places and attack Sophie when she sees fit.
