Question Bringing dog from Hawai'i to California?

So, I was just curious what the laws/rules are to bring a dog from Hawaii to California. My cousin said that you don't have to quarentine a dog if bringing from an island, but I was wondering if there is anything else, such as if hawaiaan airlines actually transport dogs. I know that there's a lot of info out there about transporting pets into Hawaii, but I've done a bit of research and haven't found much that's extremely helpful for such a situation.

Thanks!

The best answer you're going to get is if you call the airline and ask them. I know that there are certain guidelines you have to follow when moving animals.

No. Quarantine is only for animals coming to the islands.

As for flying the dog out its just a simple matter of finding an airline that will allow dogs. Pits and rottys are getting harder and harder to be able to fly from here.
Hawaii airlines does NOT fly dogs out last I had heard. I know united is pretty good about it but you'll just have to call and inquire.
