cooper loves to swim

finally it has warmed up enough again that we can take the dogs for a swim. It was so nice yesterday that we took the dogs with us to the horses and let them swim in the dam. The girls went in for a bit but its my 3 year old staffy x, cooper who loves to swim the most

He makes whirlpools in the water and swims vertically and splashes then snaps at all the drops of water lol and you absolutely cannot get him to come out until he is so tired he wont be able to swim anymore so he gets out :roll:

Why is its tail docked?

We arent sure. We got him from a vet who had found a bunch of staffy x puppies dumped in a big garbage bin.

The vet seems to think its natural and that he may have some stumpy tail cattle dog in him. It does seem quite natural.

The vet also said he had a theory as to what had happened to him. He was in pretty bad shape eg; holes through his lips like he had had scewers stuck through them or something and much more. And he was terrified of people so he believes he was bred for fighting and all the injuries were them trying to get him angry. And he was only 7 weeks old he says either they docked the tail or the stumpy tail cattle dog was bred into them so the tails were already 'docked'. He doesnt really think its likely that it was docked unnaturally as there are no signs of that having been done.

Oh that's horrible! That poor puppy. Im glad the vet got the litter. Yah my AMSTAF was what we think a bate dog because her teeth have been filed down so she only has half the size she should. She's also got plenty of scars....

So cute!
I took Chief swimming and he loved it.. did a lot of what Cooper does.
