I have two 1/4th coydogs. My aunt found their mother(and some less-friendly siblings) in a gutter near a horse show she was at. My cousin and her friend tried to save all the puppies but none would tolerate being picked up besides the one they ended up keeping (Wylie). She is a great dog and has all of the characteristics you guys have mentioned! She is a very light tan color with long hair, long legs, and a long nose. She has her little makeshift 'dens' at my aunts house (under the bed and under the tack sheds) but she isn't aggressive or shy towards people. She is a very friendly girl!
She was thought to be infertile by the vets and my aunt (apparently coydogs aren't common around here) but their neighbor's unfixed labradoodle proved that theory wrong. She had 9 pups, one was born dead. We are assuming they are all labXpoodleXcoyoteXgolden retreiver(What the dog that ran from the puppies in the gutter appeared to be) and all nine were placed in good homes.
My aunt kept one, my family got 2, 1 became a shop dog at a pet store, 1 became a ranch dog (he guards 40 acres), 1 is a companion dog to a dog dying of cancer, 1 is just an inside family dog, another escaped from her home and was apparently found by a new family (we don't know for sure, the lost dog signs were all ripped down after being posted though). The last dog was pretty bad.. She torn apart a lot of things and cost the original family a good amount of money. The others are all good. They're quick learners, good hunters, and very friendly.
Now that I've written out a novel, here are pics of my two puppies :)
