Dobermans

Does any one else have a Doberman? I have a 6 year old Dobe named Dominick that I've trained tons of stuff to. They are just so smart. He does not only agility and obedience but he also knows over 40 tricks. Post a pic of your Dobe if you have one!

They were on our list for the last dog we got, with German Shepherds, and we got a Shepherd, but I dearly love them. We had a dobe breeder that came into the vet clinic I worked at and I loved those dogs!
Yours is beautiful! Love the hat!!

My mom's best friend had one that was hands down, without a doubt the smartest dog I've ever met. He was an SPCA rescue and they treated him like their child. He had over 150 toys and he knew each of them by name and would remember what box he left them in (the office, his bedroom, the kitchen, etc). He was also a character at horse shows and very well behaved. The only thing was, he absolutely HATED cops. When he died of old age, a lot of people mourned for him :(

Thank you.
Hollywood have given Doberman's the "bad dog image" Everyone that I have talked to that has had one or has met one have only said good things about them.

Dominick is a little over the height for breed standard or else he would be in conformation. (5 inches over making him the size of a female great dane)

Trust me, I'm all too familiar with the growing over breed standard...our shepherd before this guy was 128 lbs ....looked like a pony!

I know! People are always making comments on how I have a dog the size of a Horse and a horse the size of a dog (I had a mini)
