Holy wow, how quickly they change!

Just got some new pictures today of both our most recent litters of puppies and as I uploaded them to the computer I browsed the older ones. It never ceases to amaze how quickly they grow and how much they change LOL.

This is our older litter, born November 4, 2011. I didn't get any sure enough baby pix of them because I didn't have a camera that was worth a darn at the time.

I think they were about 3-4 weeks old in this picture.


They had just been weaned in this one


And here they are today at a little over 4 months old, showing the promise of the cowdogs they will become. We don't have cattle or sheep to work them on at this point, so I stimulate their prey drive with a short length of rope on the end of a fishing pole.






These are pictures I managed to snap when they caught the rope on the direction change. This usually happens at a lope or a run. When they are bigger like this, it's not uncommon for them to yank the pole apart when they hit the end LOL. You can see the skid marks under their feet.

And here is our youngest litter, born January 28, 2012 to a full sister of the dogs above.

This is the day after they were born


Here they are just before weaning...just so you can see the drastic size difference against their momma for comparison. She was just about fed up with their little teeth at this point LOL.


Here, they were a few days old


And yet a few more days. They were about 20 days old here. This picture made it easy to see who was the tub-o-lard and who was the runt


And here they are today, just over 6 weeks old.

Chasing me down LOL.


Already beginning to feel their prey drive

And decided to fight over the tread mark from the tractor tire LOL.


And just because I don't seem to have any of the little runt in the group pictures, here she is....

Oh my gosh they are so cute!! Gimmmeee :)

OMG!! You do realize that you are KILLING me, here?! I love love love love LOVE border collies!! Did I mention that I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE them?!

LOL, you love them for good reason. I love them too and I couldn't imagine not having them around all the time.

I'll take this one!

Tiny, you might have to fight me for her. She's so stinkin' cute!

She's already got the classic border collie "You will do az I command, puny humanz!" look nailed! Lol

, yep, she's a stinker. She's got the look and, if that doesn't work, she's got the cutest little whine/howl thing she does.
