    the house of misfit kitties

Soprano, 8 years old, spent the first 2 years of her life hiding under a couch in a no kill shelter.

Kiwi, 3 years old, spent over a year at a no kill shelter because he has feline aids.

The Fert, a year and a half old, left in a suitcase near a beach when she was around 4 weeks old

Pits, my soulmate kitty, 6 years old. Taken back to the shelter twice before I got her.

They are all gorgeous and very lucky to have found a soft landing in your home. I have but one kitty right now that I got from a shelter. She was on the day's euthanasia list. Why? She wasn't a kitten. She was 6 years old and people tend to not be interested in those. I love her and my one Rottie boy has a thing for cats. He was in love the second he saw her. It took her a few days to feel the same thing for him but they are best buddies now.

I had to add. I especially love the black cat hanging off the kitchen door's curtains. I had a rescued dog that did that once. Ha ha

That little fuzzy black thing is forever getting into trouble!
I always feel bad for the older kitties, especially if they're black :(

Sopranpo is nearly a twin to my kitty that I adopted when she was nearly 2. I've taken in cats ( & dogs) of all ages.

I like black cats and would have a whole herd if I could.

I want a black Great Dane at some point, too. My current GD is brindle.

Does 3 constitute a herd? I also adopted a feral pure black kitten just after he was weaned. He now, at almost 2, follows me everywhere and loves to curl up on my lap.

Kiwi is at least half Maine Coon. I'm always happy to provide more photos of him.

My husband has decided we will have an army of black cats lol.

    Here is more Kiwi:

I love that last picture. Is he very vocal? My 3 are. Whenever I head out to the barn they come trailing after, meowing the entire time. DH thinks I'm the Pied Piper of Cats.
