3 years ago my family experienced some huge changes, we were homeless, I was sleeping on friends couches so that I could work and save money to move to New York at the end of the summer, my parents were living in a homeless shelter and planning on moving to Minnesota where my mom's family were going to take them in. I had to rehome my beloved Lab/Rottie mix Ebby who I'd had for 8 years. I was absolutely heartbroken. It was better for her, though. We didn't have a home, how could we manage to keep a dog? She was my baby and I still tear up when I think about her, still break down when I see a dog that looks like her is up for adoption. I haven't had a pet since.
Now, however, I've been on my feet for a while and finally have an apartment that allows pets SOOO after a LOT of deliberation and soul searching I've decided its time for me to get a companion. After lots and lots of research I decided I'm getting a bunny! I've been saving the money, I've got the time and the space and I'm SO excited! I've started compiling supplies already even though I probably won't actually bring one home until the end of the month. I know there's a lot of bunny owners on here and soon I'll be able to put pics on the bunny thread too! Any advice for a first time owner?
