Shoebox, I'd sell you my llama wool. I don't do anything with it and some of my llamas have really nice wool. I don't have any this year but next year I should have some white (twisters) and some red (corrida, the minis) suri wool and also whatever it is when my female has her baby this fall.

Thanks y'all! So many people just don't understand what great animals llamas are. They are extremely easy to take care of, need about a 1/2 acre or less per llama, depending on how green your pasture is, and when handled right friendly and loving. And they poop in a dung pile so it's way to collect and use as fertilizer. And it's the best fertilizer you can get for your garden. I love my llamas so much.
I might take you up on that, depending on what's at the Shepherd's Harvest this year. I overload on their wool because quite honestly it's absolutely dirt cheap. I would guess nobody makes a profit from it (except those of us spending 15 bucks for a garbage bag of wool) But if there's not much to my liking I'll have to go looking elsewhere ;)

Do they spit ever? I love llamas but I don't want to get spit on by one. I want some Alpacas some day, too - SO soft!

Alpacas are the most aggravating animals on planet earth. They scream and kick and spit way worse than llamas, or at least the ones I have dealt with do. Yes llamas will spit occasionally, but rarely purposely at people. About 90% of the times I've been spit on it was when they were fighting over food and come on, spit washes. It's not that bad. Take it from someone that knows. Lol. But I rarely get spit on. It's been over a year since the last time I got spit on, maybe longer.

There is no sport like barrel racing. It requires more speed than a sprinter, more balance than a gymnast, more grace than a dancer, and a stronger team than football.

Here's a pic of twister at 2 days old. My gelding loved her. I finally had to remove him because he kept trying to steal her from the mom. Lol.
